Breeding at Davis Farm

Davis Farm’s breeding program is in its infancy, but Lisa Samoylenko is building the program on strong mare lines and tried and true principles.  Our overarching goal for the program is to breed athletic riding horses or sound mind and body that will be competitive be at all levels.  We breed primarily for the disciplines of dressage and eventing but our goal is to produce horses of a manageable size that are very athletic, rideable, and have the mind to excel in a number of disciplines. The first foal was born in 2005 and has distinguised herself in eventing by qualifying for the Young Event Horse Championships in her 4 year old and 5 year old years.

To that end, we utilize a variety of complimentary breeds including German and Dutch warmblood, Morgan and Irish Sport horses.  The mares pedigrees are meticulously researched and the stallions are selected to complement the mare line strengths.  The first Davis Farm filly foal (Rhicochet) is coming 5 and has qualified (for the second time) for the USEA Young Event Horse Championships.
